Cayote’s CREST 8 EVO ESC moves to V2.0.1

Cayote keeps improving its flagship CREST 8 EVO ESC with the release of firmware V2.0.1, installable directly via the Cayote Team app. This update mainly targets reliability and safety.

First improvement: the transition between sensored and sensorless commutation in hybrid mode is now smoother, thanks to optimized Hall sensor detection. Cayote also adds a new low-voltage protection: during a sudden voltage drop, the ESC now reduces power gradually instead of cutting the motor, and resumes normal operation if voltage stabilizes within two seconds.

Finally, in sensored mode, Hall sensor fault filtering has been added: any anomaly is now signaled by alternating red/green LED flashing on the CREST 8 EVO, for faster diagnosis in the pits.
