Slovak brand HUDY, known for the precision of its tools and competition parts, expands its drivetrain lineup with a new 12-tooth, 48-pitch (48P) aluminum pinion gear, designed to cut rotating mass without sacrificing durability.
A HUDY pinion built for precision
Machined from lightweight aircraft aluminum and then hard coated for wear resistance, this HUDY 12T/48P pinion is advertised as “ultra-true running,” meaning it’s machined with minimal eccentricity for perfectly centered rotation and vibration-free performance in the drivetrain. Every pinion is individually run-in before shipping, a hallmark practice across the brand’s drivetrain parts.
48-pitch remains a common reference in both 1:10 touring and 1:10 off-road, where the precision of the pinion/spur mesh directly affects drivetrain efficiency and tooth wear over the course of a race meeting.
