The Taiwanese option parts specialist T-Work’s is expanding its range dedicated to 1/8 GT with a new T-Work’s X3GTS dogbone: a 90mm hardened steel dogbone referenced TO-304, designed specifically for Hong Nor X3GTS WC and X3 GTS’26 chassis.
This dogbone replaces the original part with reinforced, heat-treated steel, more resistant to torsion and the repeated impacts generated by the engines used in on-road 1/8 GT. The price announced by T-Work’s is $11.90 per unit, available directly from the official store rc-tworks.com.
T-Work’s X3GTS: what gain in transmission and acceleration?
According to T-Work’s, this 90mm hardened steel dogbone allows more efficient power transmission between the transmission case and the wheels, resulting in a sharper start and more spirited acceleration out of corners. On 1/8 GT replicas like the Hong Nor X3GTS WC, where mechanical stresses are high, this reinforcement limits parasitic flex in the original dogbone and improves chassis responsiveness under high engine load.
An upgrade that should appeal to on-road 1/8 GT drivers seeking extra reliability for competition, with no change in geometry or additional setup cost.
