Xray XT2 2028: the new 1/10 2WD stadium truck unveiled in dirt and carpet versions

Slovak manufacturer Xray confirms the arrival of the XT2 2028, the brand new generation of its 1/10 2WD electric stadium truck. Spotted on September 12, 2026 by Japanese site rcmonkey.jp and then relayed by retailer Central RC, this new chassis succeeds the XT2’24 with a completely revised spec sheet.

Two versions for the Xray XT2 2028: dirt and carpet

As with previous generations, the XT2 2028 is offered in two variants designed to suit track conditions. The XT2D’28 “Dirt Edition” comes with a ball differential as standard, recommended for most dirt tracks, while the XT2C’28 “Carpet Edition” relies on a gear differential, better suited to high-grip surfaces such as carpet. Both differential options remain interchangeable according to driver preference.

Under the body, Xray announces an all-new one-piece 2.5 mm chassis in Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, with a widened rear section for extra stability, an adjustable-flex Flat Chassis Brace, an interchangeable 3G gearbox with a 5G option, big-bore 13.2 mm shocks on carbon towers, and a lowered motor mount to reduce the centre of gravity. The whole package rolls on 22 high-speed ball bearings.

In Japan, retailer Central RC announces immediate availability of the XT2 2028 at 88,000 yen, whether for reference 320211 (Dirt) or 320210 (Carpet), body and wheels included. No release date has yet been communicated for the French market, but the full spec sheet is already online on the official teamxray.com website.

Designed and manufactured entirely in Slovakia on German and Swiss machinery, the new Xray XT2 2028 shines as one of the most tunable 1/10 2WD stadium trucks on the market, in the lineage of a model that has already claimed several international titles since its 2016 launch.
