Tamiya The Falcon 2026: a classic 1/10 2WD buggy resurfaces

Tamiya confirms the big comeback of “The Falcon”, one of its most iconic 1/10 2WD buggies, in a new 2026 edition. The kit keeps the original recipe that made the model a hit: bathtub-style chassis, double-wishbone front suspension, trailing-arm rear end, and the four yellow CVA oil shocks that marked a whole generation of drivers.

This 2026 version does get a welcome update, though, with the addition of factory ball bearings, a standard feature today that the original kit lacked. Tamiya notes that The Falcon’s chassis long served as the base for numerous other models from the brand, proof of the platform’s soundness.

This 1/10 2WD buggy is due for release at the end of November 2026, a date that should delight collectors and vintage racing fans alike.
