PowerHobby: a red aluminum body mount for the Kyosho Fazer MK2

PowerHobby has just added an aluminum body mount for the Kyosho Fazer MK2 to its catalogue. Part number PHB7825Red designates the red anodised version of the item.

Replacing a known Fazer MK2 weak point

The Fazer MK2 is a versatile 1/10 on-road car, offered with a long line of licensed bodies — muscle cars, rally, touring. Its stock body mounting is plastic, and that’s exactly the sort of part that suffers: with every roll, every kerb strike, the load goes through the posts. A cracked plastic post isn’t always obvious at a glance, but it lets the body float about and drift out of alignment run after run.

The PowerHobby part is a direct replacement for the stock mounting assembly, machined from aluminum and anodised red. It follows the Kyosho Fazer MK2 layout, with no drilling or adapting required.

An openly cosmetic choice

Let’s be honest: on this kind of part, function and looks weigh about the same.
