A carbon SCX24 chassis designed to drop the centre of gravity

Injora keeps mining the Axial SCX24 vein and is releasing an LCG-type carbon SCX24 chassis, meaning a lowered centre of gravity. The kit comes in two wheelbases to cover both SCX24 families: 132 mm (part number INC-24S-C) and 155 mm (part number INC-24L-C). Both versions carry the same price, $34.99 on the brand’s store.

The principle is well known among 1/10 competition crawlers, far less so at 1/24 scale: pack the battery and electronics as low as possible between the rails, to gain side-hill stability without touching the suspension.

12° angled skid and brass skid plate

The centrepiece is the skid: Injora angles it at 12° and caps it with a brass skid plate. The angle helps clear ledges by reducing how much the chassis catches, while the mass of the brass, sitting at the lowest point of the vehicle, acts as useful ballast rather than mere protection. The complete chassis measures 190 × 37.6 mm and weighs 70 g, a figure worth putting next to the very low overall weight of an SCX24.

What the kit includes

The kit ships assembled with its manual and brings together carbon rails, a carbon battery tray, stainless steel links with nylon ends, POM rock sliders and CNC aluminium magnetic body mounts. The shocks have several mounting positions, which leaves room to play with ride height and load distribution.

Compatibility and availability

Both part numbers are announced as compatible with the stock SCX24 Gladiator and Power Wagon, as well as with Injora power systems: the 050 brushed motor as well as the 1721 and 2204 brushless units. The 155 mm version accepts stock SCX24 bodies of the same wheelbase and the new in-house IR90-24 body. Listed on 29 August 2026, it is available directly from Injora.
