Cayote is rounding out its motor ecosystem with a rotor installation tool aimed at 1/10 competition motors. Presented on 27 August 2026, this accessory tackles a routine but risky operation: pulling out or refitting a rotor without damaging the magnets or the motor can.
Taming magnetic pull
On a competition brushless motor, magnetic force violently attracts the rotor as soon as it comes near the stator. That is exactly where chipped magnets and scratched windings come from. The Cayote tool reduces this traction during handling and enforces straight-line guidance: the rotor goes in and out in a controlled way, without snatching or side contact.
A flexible material that protects surfaces
The part is made from POE, a flexible and durable material that offers a good grip while avoiding marks on machined surfaces. No complex assembly is required and no additional tool is needed: the rotor is fitted or removed in a single operation, which makes the job practical trackside between two heats.
Compatibility and availability
The tool is optimised for the brand’s Modi and Stocki series motors, and covers their various winding configurations. In Europe, the Cayote range is distributed by Wartelle Shop, which lists the manufacturer’s full catalogue of motors, speed controllers and accessories.
