Italian brand Futura, owned by Mikimodel, is unveiling the Yellow formula, the first link in a new tyre additive range. The Futura Yellow tyre additive is presented as a deliberately all-round product, going against the grain of ranges heavily segmented by track type.
From low to high grip
According to its manufacturer, Yellow was developed to work across a very wide range of track conditions, from low-grip surfaces to high-grip tracks. The idea is to have a single bottle capable of covering the majority of race weekends, rather than lining up three or four different products in the pit box.
Consistency before peak grip
Futura‘s central argument is not maximum traction gain but consistency: the brand highlights a predictable and stable feeling throughout the run, with driveability that remains easy. It is an approach that is appreciated in long finals, where an additive that is very aggressive at the start can translate into a performance drop late in the race.
A brand known to on-road racers
Futura is no newcomer to this field: the brand has been producing tyre additives, cleaners and foam tyres for 1/8 on-road and 1/10 off-road for years. The other colours in the new range have not yet been detailed.
