The Team Associated RC10B7 slipper gains two Factory Team options announced on 18 August 2026. The stated aim: eliminate the setting drift that affects almost every 2WD buggy over a long final, and make the transmission of the Californian brand’s 1:10 off-road car more reliable.
A caged thrust bearing to keep the RC10B7 slipper on setting
The #92594 conversion replaces the standard thrust bearing with a thrust bearing held in a cage. The balls stay guided, spring preload is applied evenly and, according to Team Associated, the chances of the slipper nut loosening over the course of a run drop significantly. It is the classic race 2WD problem: a slipper set to a tenth of a turn before the final that slips a little more with every minute, with engine behaviour changing without the driver understanding why.
3-pad hubs to dissipate heat better
The second item, the #92595 3-pad slipper hubs, tackles the same drift from another angle. By spreading torque over three friction surfaces instead of two, the assembly runs cooler and slipper action stays more consistent from run to run. The brand makes the point clearly: the consistency of the 3-pad system comes first and foremost from its better heat dissipation compared with the traditional 2-pad setup.
One assembly detail not to be overlooked: the three hubs take up more space and shorten the available spring, which means switching to the larger diameter #91891 spring adapters.
Part numbers and compatibility
Three part numbers come with the announcement: the #92594 caged thrust bearing slipper conversion, the #92595 Factory Team 3-pad slipper hubs, and the #92460 caged thrust bearing on its own for those who only want to replace the wear item. The set targets kits 90041, 90042, 90046 and 90047, in other words the RC10B7 and RC10B7.1 family, and the parts are listed as available now from Team Associated.
