The Singapore International Nitro GP returns on 10 and 11 October 2026 and blows out twenty candles. Organised by the Radio Control Modellers’ Club (RCMC), the only permanent track in Singapore, the event is one of the most popular nitro meetings in South-East Asia. Entries are open.
Three nitro classes on the programme
The entry list is split into three classes:
- 1:8 on-road
- 1:8 Nitro GT
- 1:10 nitro touring car
This is a resolutely nitro programme, against the electric trend that dominates most European championships. The Singapore International Nitro GP remains one of the few international events to run all three classes over the same weekend.
A resurfaced track for the anniversary
The RCMC circuit has been completely resurfaced, work started earlier in the year. Overseas entrants will therefore find fresh asphalt, with everything that implies: grip that evolves quickly over the weekend and tyre choices decided late. For an anniversary race, the track arrives in the best possible condition.
Twenty years of world champions in Singapore
Over two decades the event has seen a good part of the on-road nitro elite pass through: Jilles Groskamp, Dario Balestri, Naoto Matsukura, Bruno Coelho and Lamberto Collari have all put their names on the roll of honour or taken part in the race. That concentration of world champions largely explains the aura the meeting enjoys among European and Japanese drivers.
The same weekend as the F1 Grand Prix
A detail that matters for those planning their trip: the Singapore International Nitro GP is held on the weekend of the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix. The city then lives to the rhythm of motor racing, which has always added to the appeal of the event — but it also means booking early. The event is supported by Infinity, the world-championship-winning nitro kit brand.
