PR Racing is widening its catalogue beyond off-road with the R200X, a 1/10 4WD electric RC rally car supplied semi-assembled. The Taiwanese manufacturer is targeting rally tracks and mixed surfaces with a platform whose main feature jumps straight off the spec sheet: around 25% of its parts are made from carbon nylon resin using 3D printing.

An aluminium chassis and 3D printed parts

The R200X is built around a 2.5 mm 7070-T6 aluminium chassis. On top of that base, PR Racing has chosen additive manufacturing for a significant share of the components, using what it describes as a high-performance carbon-filled nylon resin. The benefit is twofold: it saves weight, and it lets the manufacturer revise parts quickly from one batch to the next without tooling up a mould.

Revised geometry and accessible adjustments

Dimensionally the car measures 198 to 200 mm wide with a wheelbase of 257 to 260 mm, two ranges that reflect how much of the layout can be adjusted. The shock towers have been lowered to bring the centre of gravity down, while suspension inserts allow track width and toe to be changed. The Ackermann geometry has also been reworked to improve corner entry behaviour.

12.8 mm Type-R shocks

Damping is handled by 12.8 mm diameter Type-R units, a generous size for 1/10 scale that should help absorb the uneven surfaces typical of RC rally. The R200X is available through the brand’s European dealers, including Wartelle Shop in France.
