4mm carbon fibre shock towers for the Yokomo MO3.0

T-Work’s continues to develop its option range dedicated to the Yokomo MO3.0 and has released a new set of carbon fibre shock towers for this 1/10 4WD buggy. Listed under part number TO-247-MO3.0, these parts come in a front version and a rear version, both cut from 4mm-thick carbon fibre.

The Taiwanese manufacturer announces a package designed to remain very light while retaining greater structural stiffness than the parts supplied in the kit. On a racing chassis, where every gram positioned high up affects weight transfer, replacing the original towers with carbon plates remains one of the most cost-effective set-up changes: the car gains in responsiveness and its behaviour under load becomes more predictable.

Part numbers and replaced components

The TO-247-MO3.0-F front plate replaces the original Yokomo MO-017-3 part, while the TO-247-MO3.0-R rear tower replaces the MO-018-3. Both items retain the original hole layout: no other component needs to be modified to fit them, and existing ride-height settings remain usable.

In terms of pricing, T-Work’s lists the front plate at $28.00 and the rear tower at $30.80, each part being sold separately. Installation is identical to that of the original towers and requires no specific tooling.

A growing MO3.0 range

These shock towers join the titanium and gold-plated steel screw sets, titanium ball ends and bearings already offered by T-Work’s for the MO3.0. Part by part, the brand is building a complete optimisation catalogue around Yokomo‘s latest 4WD buggy, an approach appreciated by drivers looking to lighten their car without changing platform. In Europe, T-Work’s parts are distributed by several specialist retailers, including Wartelle Shop, RC Team and Aigoin Racing.
