The Agama N2e is the brand’s new 1/8 electric competition buggy, presented as the result of several years of development around a single idea: lowering the centre of gravity as much as possible without sacrificing ground clearance or ease of maintenance.
Agama N2e: a centre of gravity lowered to the maximum
The whole chassis has been redesigned around this concept. According to Agama, a lower centre of gravity makes the car more consistent to drive and allows it to hold higher corner speeds than the average 1/8 electric buggy. The car also stays flatter over bumps, with less tendency to flip over, and flies low and stable thanks to clean aerodynamics.
Lay-down shocks and double bearing differentials
The N2e’s main feature is its lay-down shock system. It allows a non-resistant stroke through the full suspension travel: the shock shafts no longer take any side load, which gives a consistent feel from the beginning to the end of the stroke.
The transmission gets a RAD gearbox, for Rapid Access Diff, which allows a differential to be removed very quickly for maintenance between two heats. Each differential runs on a Double Bearing System, four bearings per differential, in order to spread the load and extend service life. The flexible wing mount completes the package by absorbing impacts without losing aerodynamic stability.
Agama N2e kit availability
The Agama N2e kit is distributed in Europe by Nemo Racing, priced at 699 pounds sterling. It is announced as in stock and ready to ship.
