Exotek has unveiled the F1Ultra R5 PRO, described bluntly as the existing R5 but supplied with all the option parts the team has been winning with over the past year. A formula that saves the driver from re-ordering half the catalogue after buying the kit.
A one-piece low-CG 7075 chassis
The big change is the chassis plate: a 2.5mm one-piece 7075 aluminium chassis, designed to lower the centre of gravity. Exotek claims more consistent behaviour on both high-grip and low-grip asphalt, which is the main challenge of the 1/10 F1 class.
Every team option as standard
The list of parts supplied out of the box speaks for itself: adjustable carbon fibre battery tray, heavy duty alloy and carbon rear wing mount system for improved rear grip, extra long side links for reduced flex and consistency, heavy duty alloy and steel offset axle steering hubs, +2mm front carbon arms, a wide rear shock tower and heavy duty alloy front pivot pin cups.
Who is it for?
The F1Ultra R5 Pro is aimed at the 1/10 F1 racer who wants to start straight on the race setup, without going through the base configuration and then buying parts weekend after weekend. Pricing and detailed part numbers were not released at the time of the announcement.
