Maxime Ripoll (Xray) defends his French FFVRC 1:8 On-Road Championship title for 2026, clinched after the 5th and final round of the championship held at La Ferrière-aux-Étangs.
A clean win in the final round at La Ferrière-aux-Étangs
Having set TQ, Ripoll duly wins the 45-minute final, ahead of Christophe Louis (Mugen Seiki) and Gérald Colinet, who complete the podium. Fabien Baranger (Shepherd), who had also started from pole in an earlier round, retired after just 13 minutes of racing.
A season of total control for the Xray driver
Across the full 2026 1:8 On-Road season, Maxime Ripoll posts a strong record with 4 poles, 3 wins and 2 podiums, confirming his consistency after reaching the final at the last World Championship in 2025.
