Traxxas’ Stampede 2WD VX3 bets on the Bash-Locks body
Traxxas updates its historic Stampede monster truck with a 2WD VX3 Brushless version (part# 136454-4, street priced around $329) built to handle heavy bashing sessions. The headline feature is the new Bash-Locks body-mounting system: clipless latches that hold the body tightly in place while allowing quick release in seconds, paired with injection-molded grille and tailgate reinforcements to reduce breakage.
The monocoque chassis has been completely redesigned, with double-shear shock mounts, a longer and wider footprint, and new double-wishbone suspension delivering increased travel. On the power side, the new waterproof Velineon VX3 speed control (3S-capable) drives a Velineon V3200 brushless motor with sintered high-temperature neodymium magnets tuned for 3200kV. The package also includes Traxxas Stability Management (TSM), Punch Control for dialing in launches, and a new waterproof metal-gear servo (2057).
The model is already available from several European retailers, including MRC Modélisme and JJMstore in France.
