Hyunkyu Jung wins the eBuggy final at the 2026 Asian Buggy Championship

The 2026 Asian Buggy Championship finale wrapped up this weekend at West Side Raceway in Jakarta, Indonesia, with an electrifying finish worthy of the event’s international standard. In the eBuggy class (electric 1/8 buggy), Hyunkyu Jung, driving a Team Associated chassis, took the win after a hard-fought A3 final.

The final sprint delivered on every level: several off-track moments among the leaders shuffled the order right up to the last seconds, before Jung pulled clear to take the chequered flag. He finished ahead of Pekko Iivonen, driving for Mayako and top qualifier for the final, and Alex Bernadzik, who had claimed the nitro final of the same Asian Buggy Championship just days earlier.

The double result underlines the depth of this season’s Asian field, with drivers able to shine in both the electric and nitro classes within the same week of competition.
