Italian driver Davide Ongaro pulled off another impressive double at the 13th edition of Buggyland (also known as Buggyland 12+1), held on the Fuencarral track in Madrid, Spain. Driving his Team Associated 1:8 buggy, Ongaro dominated qualifying in both categories before capping off the weekend in style.
Ongaro unbeatable in both 1:8 nitro buggy and e-buggy in Madrid
In e-buggy, Ongaro took the overall TQ and then won by taking two of the three finals. Corsatec driver Mattia Polito finished second, ahead of young talent Adrian Pariente in third. In the one-hour nitro final, Ongaro set a strong, consistent pace and won by a comfortable margin, completing a clean sweep for the weekend. The SWORKz duo of Mattia Polito and Juan Carlos Canas took second and third respectively.
Ongaro had been unable to defend his title last year, as he was competing at the 1:10 Off-Road World Championships in Australia at the same time. He had already achieved this nitro/electric double back in 2024, confirming his consistency at this Spanish end-of-season showcase.
