Well-known American RC designer and driver Josh Cyrul is turning the page after three years at Excelerate RC, where he developed the Prodigy electric touring car line in 1:12 and 1:10, to found his own outfit: Cerberus Racing.
Cerberus Racing, a family venture led by Josh Cyrul
Cerberus presents itself as a genuinely family-run company, led by Cyrul alongside his wife, daughters and mother. “I knew that to push the boundaries in our sport, I needed total creative freedom. I wanted a small family business where we control our own destiny,” the founder explains.
Cyrul highlights his background outside RC, automotive design, tactical military vehicles and even satellites, as an asset for the brand, built around three pillars: boundless innovation, driver-focused evolution, and a heritage of more than 40 years of racing. Cerberus Racing’s first product is set to be unveiled during the week of September 8, 2026, with no further details shared yet.
