3Racing has opened pre-orders for the AuperD6.1 Gear, the latest evolution of its 1/10 drift car. The kit is announced at HK$4,500, roughly 490 euros, as a limited run in three chassis colours (black, blue or red), with machined brake calipers included free.
ISS steering arrives in the Auper D6 series
The headline change on this AuperD6.1 is the adoption of the ISS steering system, a first in 3Racing‘s Auper D6 series. The front end has been completely reworked: a new KPI knuckle, a steering plate with multi-position Ackermann adjustment, reduced free play and smoother movement, plus a revised servo mount to simplify installation. Steering angle remains extreme, as the discipline demands.
Three drivetrains and three motor positions
The kit comes in three drivetrain layouts — belt, bevel gear or idler gear — and offers three motor positions (UMR, LMR, LRR), covering competition drifting as well as more demonstrative setups. Wheelbase is adjustable from 237 to 259mm with flip-over rear wishbones, and the chassis accepts 190mm Tamiya-style bodies.
Shocks, chassis and finishing details
The platform gets new shocks with full rebound function, 6 x 1.3mm pistons and infinite shock-angle adjustment. Suspension moves to a pivot-ball system, while the rear uprights widen the roll adjustment range. 3Racing has also revised the main chassis and upper deck layouts, added a quick-release battery holder, a compact front lower bumper and an 18mm magnet with metal disc. Visually the car wears red calipers and simulated discs, optionally completed by the SAK-D6828 machined calipers offered in blue, purple or red, front and rear.
