The JConcepts race team update for week 3 of August 2026 confirms the brand’s ongoing run: seven events covered on both sides of the North American continent, with a particularly dense haul in dirt oval and 1/8 buggy.

California and Nebraska: dirt oval opens the report

The tour starts in Bakersfield, California, where Rain-Man’s Hobby and Raceway hosted the West Coast Dirt Oval Nationals and its 376 entries. James Rodriguez took fourth overall in EDM there, with his other runs coming in the Mod Late Model and 410 Outlaw Sprint classes. Next stop Omaha, at the HobbyTown USA HobbyPlex, for a round of their Summer Series: David Peavler posted fifth in Mod 2WD Buggy, backed up by the TQ and the win in 40+ Mod 2WD Buggy.

Missouri: Brad Dean takes a triple at the King of Dirt Oval

The big one of the week took place at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, Missouri, for the annual King of Dirt Oval Championship and its 181 entries. Brad Dean was flawless there with TQs and wins in Mod Sprint, Mod Late Model and 13.5 Sprint. He was joined on the Mod Sprint podium by David Fast (3rd) and Will Brinton (5th), with David Fast adding a third place in Mod Late Model. Jeremy Cathlina completed the picture with second overall in 13.5 Sprint and fourth in Mod Late Model. Still in Missouri, at St. Louis Dirt Burners in Kirkwood, Braden Bruce claimed the TQ-and-win double in 1/8 Electric Buggy plus a second win in 1/8 Nitro Buggy at the Gateway Classic.

Iowa and Minnesota: two all-JConcepts podiums

At The RC Compound in Dallas Center, Iowa, the Pro 1/8 Nitro Buggy podium was filled entirely by JConcepts drivers: Mason Fuller (TQ and win), Ashton Abdul (2nd) and Kaden Fuller (3rd). In Pro 1/8 Electric, Chad Rubenking took the win ahead of Mitchell Pavel, who secured the final podium spot. Same story at Lake Superior R/C Car Club in Proctor, Minnesota, host of Round 4 of the MNRC Series and its 187 entries: Seth VanDalen (TQ and win), Kc Belke (2nd) and Kyle Holmberg (3rd) locked out the 1/8 Electric Buggy podium. Kyle Holmberg followed up with the win in 1/8 Nitro Buggy, where Josh Ford took third before going on to win the 1/8 Nitro Truggy class.

Indiana, North Carolina and Quebec

At the Hoosier RC Hobbyplex in New Albany, Indiana, Bryson Furnish left the Off-Road Apocalypse with the TQ and second place in Vintage 4WD Buggy, second in Vintage Stadium Truck and three more podiums in 13.5 Stadium Truck, 13.5 4WD Buggy and 17.5 2WD Buggy — enough to earn him the unofficial “ironman” award of the week. At Pete’s Pro RC Raceway in Providence, North Carolina, Derrick Harris finished second overall in both 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy at Round 4 of the King of the Carolina’s RC Series. Finally, over to Canada and the Quebec Classic at Bego Raceway in Mirabel, where Mason Montminy wrapped up his week with sixth in 1/8 Electric Buggy, eighth in 1/8 Nitro Buggy and two fourth places in Nitro and Electric Truggy.
