The Revolution Design B7.1 caster block set arrives under part number RDRP0768 and tackles a heavily loaded part of the Team Associated RC10B7.1: the front caster blocks, supplied in plastic in the kit. The German manufacturer replaces them with machined 7075 aluminium, black anodised and highlighted by a silver chamfer.
7075 aluminium for more direct steering
The central argument is stiffness. By substituting aluminium for the original plastic, Revolution Design claims noticeably more precise steering, a gain that is particularly perceptible on high-grip tracks where loads on the front end are highest. This is the classic trade-off with this type of option: more precision and consistency, at the cost of a little compliance in a crash.
A forward-facing ball stud
Beyond the change of material, the geometry evolves. The orientation of the steering ball stud has been modified: it now points forward, which significantly frees up suspension movement under load. Another direct consequence of this design is that assembly becomes simpler and lighter, since the screws and the carbon plate used to mount the ball stud on the original part are no longer needed — weight saved in a sensitive area of the chassis, at the very end of the front end.
Insert adjustment and availability
The ball stud position remains adjustable, this time via an insert supplied in the set, which allows the setting to be changed without stripping the whole assembly. The Revolution Design B7.1 set (part RDRP0768, GTIN 4052133037633) is announced at €39.99 including VAT and appears in the brand’s August 2026 new products, available immediately.
