The 2026 French Cup for 1/8 buggy was held at the SAMC track in La Motte-Servolex, at the foot of the Alps. And the weekend left no room for suspense: Rémy Bermudez took everything.
Rémy Bermudez: TQ, fastest lap and the win at the 2026 French Cup
The XRAY driver put together a perfect weekend. Fastest in qualifying, he secured TQ, set the fastest lap of the race, then crossed the finish line first in the final. A complete clean sweep, the kind of performance that leaves no doubt about the driver’s command or his car’s setup.
Tavernon and Ben Mohamed complete the podium
Behind him, Hugo Tavernon took second place at the wheel of his Mugen Seiki chassis, while Noha Ben Mohamed stepped onto the third step of the podium with his Sparko. A podium bringing together three different brands, a sign of a French field where top-level equipment is well spread across the teams.
SAMC, a track that matters on the French calendar
Located in La Motte-Servolex, in Savoie, the SAMC club regularly hosts the major French 1/8 off-road events. Its demanding layout, in an alpine setting, calls for both traction on the throttle and good stability on landings: two qualities that had to be combined to dominate this French Cup weekend.
