JConcepts: the race team update for week 2 of August 2026, from the USA to New Zealand

The JConcepts race team update for week 2 of August 2026 (Race Team Update – August 2026 Week #2) reviews nine American clubs and one major meeting in New Zealand. From 1/10 buggies to 1/8 electric truggies, the Florida brand’s drivers piled up pole positions and wins on very different surfaces, outdoor dirt as well as indoor carpet.

JConcepts: the weekend harvest on the East Coast

In New Hampshire, at Maximus RC Raceway, John Cravotta took the win in 17.5 2wd buggy and fourth place in 13.5 4wd, while Matt Sousa claimed TQ in 17.5 2wd. In New Jersey, at Cruizin With RC’s, David Longaker completed the TQ-and-win double in 13.5 4wd and rounded off his weekend with second place in 17.5 2wd. In Virginia, at Truth Motorsports, Brian Miskolczi finished second in both 1/8 electric buggy and truggy with TQ in e-buggy, while Layton Miskolczi won in e-buggy and took TQ in e-truggy.

A string of wins in the southern United States

In West Virginia, at Altitude RC, Casey Bias locked out both TQs in 17.5 2wd and 13.5 4wd and won in 4wd, while Brent Hatcher completed the TQ-and-win double in stadium truck before also winning 17.5 2wd buggy. In Georgia, Shay Brand won 1/8 nitro buggy with TQ and Wilson Cowart did the same in expert 1/8 electric buggy. In Alabama, at Rocket City RC3, Randy Enger claimed TQ and the win in 1/8 electric truggy and Peyton Jaynes won the mod 2wd buggy class, while in Missouri, Alex Sturgeon dominated the 40+ category in 1/8 electric buggy with TQ and the win.

1/10 carpet nationals in New Zealand

In Hamilton, the 1/10 off-road carpet nationals saw Jarod Ment take TQ in both mod 2wd and 4wd, before finishing second in 2wd and winning the wheeler class. At these events the team relies on JConcepts Fuzz Bite LP, Pin Swag, Siren LP, Swaggers, Reflex, Sprinter and Relapse compounds, combined with S15, P2, S2 and Finnisher bodies, Mono, Pioneer and Bullet wheels as well as the brand’s own accessories, from titanium turnbuckles to Astro and Razor wings.
