Pro-Line Racing gives the 1/12 Losi NASCAR stock car a second life with two VTA bodies that swap the modern Cup look for that of 1960s Trans-Am racing: a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro (part no. PRO372717) and a 1968 Ford Mustang (part no. PRO372817), announced at $24.99 each.

Two 1968 icons as 1/12 VTA bodies

Both shells pick up the lines of the pony cars that built the Trans-Am championship’s legend: long hood, chopped tail and dropping roofline on the Camaro, recessed grille and sculpted flanks on the Mustang. The VTA (Vintage Trans-Am) style is a class in its own right in on-road racing, and Pro-Line now brings it to a 1/12 chassis that was until now limited to contemporary NASCAR liveries.

Pre-cut, with masks and decal sheet included

Both parts come as pre-cut clear lexan: no scissors required, the outer trimming is already done. Each bag holds the body, the window masks and a decal sheet, so you can go straight to painting. The clear starting point leaves colours wide open, whether you are after a faithful period recreation or a livery of your own.

Which chassis?

Both bodies are cut for the 1/12 Losi NASCAR Race Car, the 2S AWD on-road RTR licensed by the NASCAR Cup Series. They therefore target both clubs running indoor VTA heats and collectors looking for an alternative to the model’s stock liveries.

Availability

Part numbers PRO372717 (1968 Camaro) and PRO372817 (1968 Mustang) are listed at $24.99 each at Pro-Line Racing‘s official distributor.
