IFMAR has just released the Stage 2 report for the 2026 1/10 electric touring car world championship (ISTC). The thirteenth running of the event will take place from 8 to 14 November 2026 at the Huge RC track in Bangkok, Thailand.
IFMAR 1/10 electric touring worlds: a roofed asphalt layout in Bangkok
The circuit is owned by Surikarn Chaidajsuriya, the 2002 ISTC world champion. Fully asphalt and sheltered under a roof, it shields competitors from tropical weather, a decisive point for an event scheduled in November. The layout will be modified before 11 November, when official open practice starts; 8 and 9 November are reserved for the Initial Practice Days (IPD).
Hudy A2-40 tyres, controlled additive and cleaner
As announced earlier in the season, the control tyre is the Hudy A2-40. Each driver may buy up to twenty sets, twelve of which are mandatory for the racing part. The controlled additive is Mighty Gripper V3 Yellow, and Ichinen brake cleaner will be supplied directly in the preparation area. All of these parameters neutralise the tyre variable and push the teams’ work back towards chassis setup.
Eric Anderson as technical director
IFMAR president Eric Anderson takes on the technical director role for this world championship. To get familiar with the track and local conditions, teams will have a warm-up race on 29 and 30 August, as part of the Hudy Series Thailand.
