Vanquish Products brings the Toyo Open Country R/T Pro tyre to 2.2 inches

After the 1.9-inch size, Vanquish Products is extending its Toyo Tires licensed range to the 2.2 format with the Open Country R/T Pro, a 1/10 crawler tyre that banks on scale looks as much as on grip.

A Toyo Open Country R/T Pro in 4.9 inches

This version measures 4.9 inches tall by 1.75 inches wide, with a 2.2-inch bead. It faithfully reproduces the tread pattern of the full-size Toyo rugged-terrain tyre, with its pronounced shoulder blocks and detailed sidewalls that account for much of the scale effect once mounted on a beadlock wheel.

Each pack comes with two medium-density open-cell foams. The wheels visible in the manufacturer’s photos, however, are sold separately.

Two compounds depending on the weight of the rig

Vanquish Products offers two compounds, to be chosen according to the crawler’s weight:

• Red (super soft) — intended for lighter rigs, with a high level of grip and significant lug deflection. Effective on dry, wet and slick surfaces.
• White (soft) — designed for heavier rigs, with better-supported lugs. Best on dry or muddy ground, or for driving at higher speeds.
