HPI Racing is preparing a new 1/10 rear-wheel-drive drift car: the Stage D10, wearing a Ford Mustang body, has just been teased by the brand, which promises full specifications very soon.
Stage D10: a 1/10 rear-wheel-drive drift car from HPI Racing
The announcement is deliberately short on detail. We know the model is rear-wheel drive (RWD), the architecture that has become the norm in competitive RC drifting, that it is planned as a ready-to-run (RTR) version, and that it will carry the Stage D10 name. The body chosen for the teaser is a Ford Mustang, an emblematic shape both in full-size drifting and on 1/10 carpet tracks.
Another building block in HPI’s comeback
The launch fits into the recovery sequence started by HPI Racing in recent months. The brand has multiplied releases and range updates, from the Venture18 1/18 competition crawler and its option parts to the nitro Savage models, and a rear-wheel-drive drift machine logically completes that plan: drifting is now one of the most dynamic segments in the RC hobby, driven by a very active community and by a growing number of dedicated tracks.
What remains to be confirmed
No release date, price or part number has been communicated at this stage. The points to watch when the full announcement lands: the chassis type (carbon or composite plate), maximum steering angle, whether a gyro is fitted, and the electronics included in the RTR version. We will update this article as soon as HPI Racing publishes the official specifications.
