The timing is rather well judged: just as the 2026 ROAR 1/8 Off-Road Nationals are getting under way in California, the Beach RC crew has released a documentary devoted entirely to the previous edition, the 2025 ROAR 1/8 Off-Road Nationals.

A documentary on one of the biggest US 1/8 off-road events

The film follows the 2025 US national 1/8 off-road championship, hosted that year by Thornhill Racing Circuit. It is one of the toughest events on the North American calendar in 1/8 buggy and truggy, bringing the country’s best drivers together over several days of racing.

Where to watch

The documentary, titled An RC Documentary: 2025 ROAR 1/8 Off-Road Nationals, is available for free on the Beach RC YouTube channel. The long format gives room for the paddock atmosphere, the practice sessions and the way the mains unfold, an angle rarely covered this way in competition RC.
