1/28 micro racing has a new player: GPZ, a French brand launching a full range of 1/28 rubber tyres developed specifically for RCP tracks, the foam-tile circuits that are the class benchmark. The whole range is announced as made in France.

1/28 tyres designed for the RCP surface only

Where many ranges cover several surfaces, GPZ claims a single-target approach: the compounds are formulated and tested for RCP, aiming for high but above all predictable grip. The brand highlights grip that stays consistent from the first lap to the last, linear behaviour so there are no surprises on corner entry, and controlled wear meant to extend the life of a set without a drop in lap times.

Three front compounds, a Shore reference on every bag

For now the range is built around three front references: a soft, an ultra-soft compound for maximum grip in ideal conditions; a medium, presented as the grip/durability compromise that works across all RCP tracks; and a hard, a long-lasting compound for extended sessions and abrasive surfaces. Each bag carries its hardness reference, for example F8.5-MEDIUM, which makes it possible to find exactly the same value from one batch to the next. GPZ also stresses that hardness is checked on every production run.

Airtight packaging designed as a setup tool

The detail that sets the brand apart is the packaging. The bag is airtight and resealable: no air exchange, no external contamination, so the compound does not drift between two race weekends. The idea is to store each set at its exact Shore value and get the same behaviour from the very first run, which makes it less a wrapper than a preparation accessory.

A range already validated by top-level drivers

To build credibility, GPZ relies on high-level drivers: Thomas Robin, Clement Coquel and Jose Pequito are among those who have signed off on the compounds. The brand says distribution is already in place for the French market, Europe, North America and Asia.
