Burak Kilic remains the man to beat in German 1/8 nitro off-road. The Mugen Seiki driver won the German National Championship final (Deutsche Meisterschaft OR8) held from 7 to 9 August 2026 at Bischofsheim, retaining the crown he took in 2025.

Two seconds after 40 minutes of racing

The suspense lasted to the flag: Burak Kilic completed 57 laps in 40:10.417, against 57 laps in 40:12.490 for his brother Berkan Kilic, second by just over two seconds. Aaron Rönick completed the podium, also on the same lap with 57 laps in 40:29.708. Three drivers on the same lap after a 40-minute final is the mark of a very tight field.

The A-main top 6

1. Burak Kilic (57 laps) – 2. Berkan Kilic (57) – 3. Aaron Rönick (57) – 4. Jörn Neumann (57) – 5. Aaron Waitz (54) – 6. Marcel Guske (53).

The weekend’s other titles

The Bischofsheim meeting also handed out the age-class titles: Maximilian Cordts won the 40+ category, Jochen Wiesner the 55+, Ben Heiderich the Junioren and Aaron Waitz the Jugend class, the latter also taking fifth overall.

A family that owns the class

This is nothing new: the Kilic brothers regularly fill the top two places of the German championship, Berkan having taken the title in 2023 before Burak strung together his own crowns. Burak races Mugen Seiki, whose MBX8R remains a benchmark in competition 1/8 nitro.
