Injora is taking on one of the most talked-about competition crawlers of the moment with the Planet Axles, a pair of complete double-jointed axles for the Vanquish Products H10 Optic. Part number H10-BK, announced at $209.99.
Double-jointed shafts for 52° of steering
The real selling point of these axles lies in the double-jointed front axle shafts. Where a conventional CV shaft loses drive smoothness as soon as the angle increases, the double joint splits the angular travel across two articulations. Injora claims a maximum steering angle of around 52° while keeping clean power delivery at full lock — exactly what you want when placing a wheel on a tight off-camber line.
Steering is handled by a double-ended ram with a hydraulic look, very close to what real off-road axles use, and the servo mounts behind the axle to clear the front area.
Brass, steel and aluminium housings
The steering knuckles are brass, which puts weight as low and as far forward as possible in the chassis. The housings are aluminium, with a “planet”-styled differential cover that gives the range its name, and the shafts are alloy steel. The steel helical gears run an 8/30 tooth ratio, front and rear alike.
